(When? How? Where?)
A quest prompts a man to ask questions in order to get to a desired
destination, or achieve a feat that he longs for. The Queen of Sheba heard of
the fame of King Solomon, so she went to prove him with hard questions (1
Kings 10:1). King Solomon then told her all her questions: there was
not anything hid from the king, which he told her not (1 King 10:3).
Embarking on a quest takes a lot of sacrifice. We must be ready to give
of our substance to get what we want. While the Queen of Sheba was going to
Jerusalem, she went with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and
gold in abundance, and precious stones (2 Chronicles 9:1-2).
So, a quest always involves seeking answers to a question that is needed
to forge ahead in our journey to a desired destination. See 2 Chronicles 31:9; Matthew
22:35-46; Mark 1:27, 8:11, 9:10, 14, 16; 11:29, 12:34; Luke 2:46, 20:40, 33:9;
Jon 3:25; Acts 15:2, 18:15,19:40, 23:6, 29, 24:21, 25:19, 20, 26:3; 1
